Pile & Ring Beam Foundations

As a well-established groundworks contractor Map Excavations Ltd are fully equipped and experienced to quickly mobilise to address numerous types of foundations.

Sites with unstable ground, clay soils and trees can quickly become expensive to build upon, pile and ring beam foundations have become more common place. In these circumstances and for this reason these methods are the trending to the chosen foundation after conventional trenches.

There are different types of piles, this method involves concrete columns drilled deep into the ground which secure and anchor the building, this is aided by the friction resistance from the surrounding ground.

Ring beams are made up of reinforced concrete and provide the tensile strength that trench foundations lack in these sort of ground conditions.

Hydro Brake to European Standards

All our hydro brake flow control chambers are formed by our own experienced teams, The chambers are formed using high strength RC concrete which is also used to form our reinforced weir walls.

A wide range of inlet and outlet sizes can be core drilled or preformed to meet the design of each hydro brake.

Pre-cast concrete rings and / or English bond brickwork are used in the construction surrounded by 150 mm of concrete for added protection.

All our covers and frames are BS EN certified and maintain a clear opening sizes that complies with relevant water authorities current health and safety standards.

We also construct and cast individual hydro brake concrete caps to our clients specification and budget.

Map Excavations Ltd have the skills and expertise during the foundations work to address and install drainage systems.

Domestic drainage systems for new build construction sites come in various designs and layouts, at Map Excavations Ltd we found that even the challenging locations can be overcome.

Examples of internal plot drainage systems demonstrate all are installed correctly within tolerances and allowing the transition between other trades using installed drainage outlets.

Inspection chambers carefully placed for allowance of rodding operations should the need arise in future use, Inspection chambers and manholes laid with concrete or gravel surround to ensure stability and strength.

Crane Base

All Our teams work to a high standard ensuring the accuracy and interpretation of designs. We constructed a Jaso Crane base in Leicester, the process required us to excavate and break down concrete piles, Prepare and install frameworks for reinforcement, before suspending the crane base into position within a 2mm tolerance, before casting the concrete base.

We are strict in maintaining high safety standards during all of our planned works, our trained employees and maintained plant are our biggest assets which is clearly demonstrated in our finished workmanship.
